Initial Situation

CHECK24 is a well-known comparison portal with digital platforms and services, including in the travel sector. For its Leipzig location, the company was in the process of building a team and was looking for a Full Stack Developer AI.

The role was of central importance, as the person sought was to develop features that would make the travel platform faster, better, and more intuitive.

Challenge

The company was looking for someone with practical experience in several programming languages and technologies such as Golang, React, and TypeScript, as well as initial experience with AI tools like Cursor. Knowledge in the areas of LLM, RAG, and MCP was also important.

In addition, the candidate was expected to have a strong tech mindset, a high willingness to learn, quality consciousness, and a hands-on mentality.

The combination of the small developer market in Leipzig, the required on-site presence, full-stack competence, and AI know-how made the position particularly challenging.

Approach

The contact with CHECK24 was established through discussions with the CTO, who then made the connection to the responsible recruiter. After a detailed requirement analysis, suitable candidates were identified and specifically approached via LinkedIn and our own network.

The pre-selection was carried out through interviews with us before suitable profiles were presented to CHECK24. The further process included a digital interview with a recruiter as well as a personal on-site appointment with a team introduction and a coding challenge.

Thanks to the close coordination and fast feedback from the client, the individual process steps were implemented very quickly. The selected candidate received an offer on site and accepted verbally.
