Initial Situation

Andercore is a trade-and-development company with an e-commerce platform for industrial materials in Berlin. Following a successful Series B financing round, the company was in a growth phase and wanted to further expand its highly automated platform.

For this purpose, an AI Engineer was sought. The role was of central importance, as AI Engineers contribute significantly to developing the platform's automation further and securing it in the long term.

Challenge

The company was looking for someone with proven practical experience in building AI agents and more than five years of professional experience. In addition, Andercore required a high level of on-site presence: the work was to be carried out five days a week in Berlin.

The combination of practical experience with a still young technology, corresponding seniority and full willingness to work in the office made the profile particularly demanding.

Approach

The contact with Andercore came about through the recommendation of a satisfied existing client. The search combined active sourcing via LinkedIn and our own network.

The candidates were qualified in a four-stage process. Coordination with the client was close and continuous via Slack as well as in weekly meetings. This allowed requirements, candidate feedback and next steps to be coordinated on an ongoing basis.
