Our client is looking for a Test Automation Engineer for Database Applications (m/f/d) who will develop and run automated tests for database-based software solutions and, in particular, verify Oracle DB implementations in terms of functionality, performance and scalability.

Your responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of automated tests for database software based on existing requirements

• Creation of test cases, test scripts and test data in Java or PL/SQL using established test automation frameworks (e.g. utPLSQL, JUnit)

• Testing solutions based on Oracle DB including evaluation of functionality, performance and scalability

• Execution of automated tests, evaluation of results and tracking of errors – including securing database migrations during release changes

• Close cooperation with relevant stakeholders (e.g. development, business departments) to ensure that the test automation meets the requirements

Your profile

• Completed degree in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics) or a comparable qualification

• Several years of professional experience as a Test Automation Engineer or Java Developer

• Experience with common test automation tools such as utPLSQL or JUnit

• Practical experience with Oracle databases and SQL, ideally in the area of performance and load testing

• Very good written and spoken German and good English skills
