Our client is looking for a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to be responsible for preparing the financial statements of a major real estate group at either the Berlin or Dresden offices, and to drive forward the development of accounting processes within the SAP environment.

Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for preparing quarterly and annual financial statements for corporations and partnerships in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)

• Assisting in the preparation of reports and analyses for management

• Further development and optimisation of internal accounting processes within the SAP system

• Participation in special accounting projects, particularly regarding processes and procedural documentation

• Accounting and valuation of complex matters, e.g. in the context of reorganisations and mergers

Your profile

• Completed vocational training with further qualification as a Certified Management Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter:in), a degree in business studies or a comparable qualification

• Several years of professional experience in accounting

• Very good specialist knowledge in preparing financial statements in accordance with HGB

• Relevant knowledge of German income tax law (EStG), basic knowledge of IFRS is an advantage

• Proficient in the use of Excel, MS Office and SAP

• Very good German language skills, English language skills are an advantage
