The Client
Aroundtown is one of the largest real estate companies in Europe. Based in Luxembourg with its operational headquarters in Berlin, the company focuses on the acquisition, development and management of commercial real estate. The focus is on office, hotel and commercial properties in Germany as well as other European markets.
As an internationally positioned group, Aroundtown offers a dynamic environment with complex financial structures, international collaboration and diverse development opportunities for experienced professionals and managers.
The Challenge
A Head of Finance was wanted for the Berlin location.
The search placed special demands on the market. We were looking for a leadership figure who not only possesses sound financial expertise and leadership experience, but is also willing to work operationally and hands-on. This combination is particularly rare in the senior management sector, as many candidates bring either a strong strategic focus or a predominantly operational background.
Even before our collaboration began, Aroundtown had used both its own recruiting activities and collaboration with other recruitment consultancies, but without finding the right candidate.
