AI & Security Business Unit built up in 12 weeks

Portrait eines Mannes
The Challenge

For the development of a new business unit in the financial sector, our client MPC (Münchmeyer Petersen Capital) wanted to establish AI as an integral part of its technological direction from the very beginning.

To achieve this, two central key roles had to be filled:

  • a position focusing on AI infrastructure, cloud platforms and the technical integration of modern AI technologies

  • a position focusing on AI security, governance, compliance and the regulatorily secure deployment of AI

The challenge lay primarily in the combination of deep technical understanding, strategic build-up work and the high regulatory requirements of the financial sector.

We were looking for individuals who do not view AI in isolation, but can create the necessary technological and organisational structures for it.

Our Approach

NovaSearch was exclusively commissioned to fill both key positions.

The search focus was targeted specifically at candidates with experience at the intersections of AI, cloud infrastructure, security and governance.

Less than an hour after the briefing, we were already able to present the first suitable profile.

In parallel, we launched a targeted executive search campaign and conducted around 20 personal interviews with qualified candidates.

In addition to technical expertise, it was particularly crucial that the candidates brought experience in building new structures and could integrate AI technologies securely, scalably and regulatorily compliant into an enterprise environment.

The Result

Within just 12 weeks, both key roles were successfully filled.

As a result, the new business unit possesses central competencies from the outset for:

  • AI Infrastructure & Integration

  • AI Security & Governance

  • Cloud & Platform Engineering

  • Information Security & Compliance

This created the foundation to not only deploy AI on a case-by-case basis, but to anchor it securely and scalably in the company over the long term.

Conclusion

Anyone wishing to establish AI sustainably in their company needs more than just data scientists and new tools.

It requires the right infrastructure, clear governance structures and a security setup that makes the deployment of AI possible in the first place.

We were able to successfully fill exactly these key competencies for our client within 12 weeks.
