Contract to Hire/Temp to Perm
This is a 'try it before you buy it' opportunity. Contract to Hire employment
is similar to Contracting in that the person you retain is not an
employee of record. The big difference is that as the employer, you are
actually looking for a long-term, full time employee. There is a clearly
defined time frame, which all parties understand up front.
A contract to hire is like a six month interview. All parties
recognize up front that the employee will be hired if there is
a good fit. You might advantage of the Contract to Hire option
when you need to evaluate:
- Entry level prospects who have no work experience
- Unemployed or laid off prospects
- Prospects from diverse backgrounds
This is an option that gives you the opportunity to find the right
people without the risk associated with full time employees.
